From Global Energy to Lewis Services – Bringing Vision, Leadership, and Purpose

Rachel’s professional journey began far from the vegetation management industry. She started as a drilling field engineer in North Africa, working on the technical front lines of oil and gas. Over the years, she moved from engineering to global sales in Houston, and eventually into operations management and supply chain leadership. Her diverse background gave her the rare ability to bridge technical expertise with strategic business execution—a skill she now brings to her role as Director of Supply Chain and Project Management at Lewis Services.

What drew me to Lewis was the combination of challenge and purpose

While the industries may differ, the purpose that drew Rachel to Lewis felt familiar.
“What drew me to Lewis was the combination of challenge and purpose,” she says. “As an employee-owned company, Lewis truly empowers its people to own outcomes, honor commitments, and put the customer first—and those aren’t just words on a wall. You see it every day in how we lead, how we treat each other, and how we show up for our customers.”
Her first impression was shaped by the leadership team—close to their people, respectful, and committed to doing what’s right, even when it’s not the easiest path. That culture of integrity, inclusion, and respect was a clear signal to Rachel that Lewis was where she wanted to be.
In her role, Rachel focuses on building strategic sourcing, strengthening supply chain visibility, and leading change initiatives that will help carry Lewis into its next phase of growth. She’s passionate about creating systems and processes that make the company stronger, more efficient, and sustainable—always “the Lewis way.”
Her approach to leading her team is simple but powerful: celebrate wins, connect their work to real impact, and make sure every supplier shares Lewis’ high standards for safety, quality, and values. “The sky is the limit when it comes to their achievements,” she says. “And the impact of their work is something they can see and feel.”
When asked what she’d tell someone considering a career at Lewis,
Rachel doesn’t hesitate: “If you’re looking for a place where you can bring your full self to work, be empowered to make decisions, and actually see the impact of what you do—Lewis is the place. You’re not just a number here. You’re an owner, a leader, and part of something meaningful.”
