Peter’s journey with Lewis began in 2009, but his path wasn’t linear. After gaining experience with other companies, Peter found his way back to Lewis in 2022, stepping into the role of Area Supervisor in Miami. For Peter, returning felt like coming home. “That was my dream—to come back to Lewis,” he recalls. “The whole package is here—the opportunity, the ESOP, the culture. Once you experience it, it’s hard to find that anywhere else.”
His dedication to the team and the company culture is evident in how he leads. “I always lead by example,” Peter explains. “We’re all Lewis. I never think of them as ‘my employees’—we’re one big family. The goal is for all of us to be successful because we’re all owners.”
One of the most memorable moments in Peter’s career came when his Miami crew experienced an unexpected snowfall while working in Pensacola, Florida. For the Miami-based team, seeing snow on the trucks was a surreal and exciting moment. “It was like being kids again,” Peter laughs. “We didn’t even have the right gear—we just put on what we could and got the job done.”
