Eric Newman Promoted to Regional Vice President

ROCHESTER, NEW YORK – August 2025 — Lewis Services, one of the nation’s largest providers of utility vegetation management, is proud to announce the promotion of Eric Newman to Regional Vice President for Region 4. In this role, Newman will oversee operations across the Mid-Atlantic, including North Carolina, South Carolina, and Virginia, supporting Lewis’ leadership teams, crews, and utility partners.

Newman joined Lewis in 2014 and brings nearly 25 years of experience in the vegetation management industry. Over the past decade, he has advanced steadily through the organization, serving as General Foreperson, Senior Supervisor, Area Manager, and Division Manager before taking on this new leadership role. His career is marked by a commitment to operational excellence, safety stewardship, and customer partnership.

“Eric is an outstanding leader who embodies Lewis’ values,” said Dennis Brown, Senior Vice President. “He is deeply respected by our customers and crews, and his strong leadership and operational expertise make him the right choice to help drive our continued growth and success in Region 4.”

Newman’s leadership has been recognized both inside and outside of Lewis. He was selected as a member of the company’s Emerging Leaders Program in 2018 and became the inaugural recipient of Lewis’ Annual Fleet Stewardship Award in 2022, an honor highlighting innovation, accountability, and safety in fleet management.

For Newman, leadership starts with a simple principle: trust. “Trust is hard earned, easily lost, and difficult to reestablish,” Newman says. “In our fast-paced industry, trust is a valuable commodity. The safety and success of our teams, customers, and communities depends on building partnerships that are rooted in trust, fairness, and accountability.”

Prior to joining the utility vegetation management sector, Newman studied criminal justice with aspirations of a career in law enforcement. Today, he brings that same dedication to accountability and fairness to his work at Lewis. Outside of work, he enjoys spending time with his wife, family, and church community, as well as gardening and hiking.
